Full of Blarney!

Today for St. Patrick’s day, Justin made us breakfast.  He created green eggs, (regular) bacon, & green pancakes.  As I sat down, and commented on the pancakes, he said, they are even shamrocks!  And, they were!  He is adorable to do that!  There must be some Irish in that man after all!

Evie especially loved the milk magically turned green!

We had a st. patrick’s party with Justin’s family.  I took pictures of the centerpiece I was putting together, but never took an actual picture of it on the table!!  UGH!

Anyway, I took glass jars, applied mod podge and rolled them in gold glitter.  I then snipped greenery from my front yard and put it in the glass jars.  I also have ivy growing in my front yard, and so I placed the jars on a white tray and wrapped the ivy around the base of the jars.

I used a total of 5 jars for the centerpiece.

Spring holidays and Birthdays for YW

Easter stacking blocks

April Showers sign on a wood board for a shelf
Lucky sign on a wood board for a shelf
I saw this darling idea over at http://undermypolkadotumbrella.blogspot.com/2011/01/personalized-value-letter.html and loved it for young women birthday's for 2011. We printed the words (name and value words) right onto burlap. It turned out so fun! Another woman in the YW's made cute bows for their hair and they hook onto the board for storage and decoration.

Kiss Me, I'm Irish!

St. Patrick's day is coming! Here's my subway art wall hanging for the holiday
Stacking blocks are back....(I didn't do any for v-day)! I love the gold vinyl!
Top picture from this collage is a painted wood shamrock (painted green, then white on top). Middle picture is a wallhanging for the holiday and the bottom picture is the same painted wood shamrock just multiplied by 3. Enjoy! You can see the previous post of the same type of wood project here:http://jessandjustinstoddard.blogspot.com/2011/02/what-world-needs-now-is-love-sweet-love.html

St. Patrick's Day 2010

Dinner for 3: Steak, whipping cream potatoes (with a hint of green food coloring), green beans and orange rolls (I dyed the sugar green). Yum. Justin preferred this kind of green over a steak that was green. gross!
I sent this lunch box off to work with Justin this morning. I covered a gable box with green paper and made the shamrock & sign. Nothing fancy inside, just left-overs. This is the tag on the top.

Yardley Family St. Patrick's Party

Evelyn in her st. paddy's day shirt. The back says: Lucky (see below)
We had a party at mom & dad's house on Sunday night for St. Patrick's Day. Yes, we are IRISH!! It is a fun excuse to throw a party. We had shis-ka-bobs and rice and mom's yummy rolls, and salad. It was such a fun night!

Here's Jamison & brenda with Evie. She was attacking them with the spoon! Miss Emily loves her uncle Justin! It's a good thing he joined the family! Together, they won a game!

Natalie made a face every time I took her picture. Rach in the background with mom.

Grandpa playing with Evelyn. She loves to go by the fire and rub her hands together. See the cute shirt I made for her on my cricut! The front is a shamrock.

Here's Meg & Laura Petty. It was fun to have Laura there to visit us...and of course, Ireland's national symbol: the harp, in the background.

Evelyn discovers there are goodies in the little cauldron's! YUM.

Laurel Date Night

We have 6 darling Laurel's in our ward and they all invited a date to join us for our Laurel date night. It was a lot of fun. We had salad, Chili in bread bowls and a coolwhip/pudding dessert. Here is the place setting for each person.

Here's the table setting...ready for the guests to arrive!

St. patrick's day decor

I finished a project for St. Patrick's day. I was inspired by a project I saw over at naptimecrafting.blogspot.com and this is my version. (i had to update the picture above this year because I misspelled leprechaun below...)

of course, I had to pull out the shamrock candy dish and I seperated all the green & yellow M&M's. Justin didn't even realize I had done that until he pulled out the bag and thought, "there aren't any green or yellow m&m's in here." He thought i had bought a special bag of st patrick's day m&M's.

St. Patrick's day decor

It's time to put up the st. paddy's decor! I went to wood connection to get the letters & shamrock. I decided to paper craft them instead of paint them. I'm happy how they turned out!
