Samatha Baby Shower

I've been having blogger issues with my photos...so I had to repost these pictures, so the pic isn't by the writing. So sorry about that!

My Sister-in-Law is having a baby next month, and so I helped host a baby shower with Kristel (sister-in-law) and Kathy (MIL). She is decorating with butterfly's and pink & purple...so that made my color choices easier for decor.

General Conference Treat bucket

This is the most darling idea found over at brown paper packages! I have to store it here so I can remember to use it when Evelyn is a little older! She puts different candies in each dollar store bucket then when that word is mentioned during general conference, the kids can get a piece of that candy. Just checkin' out my surroundings.... could you just die over those ringlets!! She might have gotten gorgeous eyes from her dad, but those are all from me!! Yea, {FINALLY} something!

St. Patrick's Burlap craft

Justin came inside awhile ago with a cut out shamrock he had done. I looked at it and thought, "what can I do with this?" After a few days of pondering and laying out ideas, this is the final outcome! I wanted to do something burlap and so I glued burlap behind the cutout and then of course, made a flower out of burlap. I love it so much I'm going to keep it for myself! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Evelyn's entertainment

On sunday, we came home from church, and I was making dinner, and went out to the garbage can. She wanted to go out and so I left the door open while I was right there with her. As I worked around the kitchen, she was busy moving everything off the pantry shelf to outside. She would take an item at a time to the outside. Finally, I dared to look and see what she had done. This is what it looked like. She loves to line things up. it was so funny.

I saw this darling idea over at http://undermypolkadotumbrella.blogspot.com/2011/01/personalized-value-letter.html and loved it for young women birthday's for 2011. We printed the words (name and value words) right onto burlap. It turned out so fun! Another woman in the YW's made cute bows for their hair and they hook onto the board for storage and decoration.
