Youth Conference 2011

We had a wonderful time at youth conference last week! We went to Snow College and Evie got to play with grandma & grandpa. There were wonderful activities that included the Manti Pagaent, Water games, ropes course & group games.
Here's Justin on a slip 'n slide. We rotated around a huge field playing these water games.

One of the rotations took us to a cotton candy machine! YUM! This is my favorite! Another thing we did was rode a bicycle built for two! I have always wanted to do that, and it was as fun as I anticipated!

Here is Justin on the blow-up slip 'n slide. I did this too, but thank goodness, no one caught how graceful I was on it!

congrats grad!

We have a few girls in my church youth group graduating on Friday. This is what I made for them.
I cut and put the vinyl on the jar and then made a tag that says "you're a smart cookie" and then filled it with oreo cookies!

Congrats to all those grads out there!

potty training

(I added this picture a couple weeks after the original post. I just wanted to document a picture of evie's new bed --since this is my journal. We have it on the ground for now and then will raise it up as she gets bigger. So far, she has slept pretty good in it, but still wakes up in the night. Hey, she did that in her crib, so now we can just lay by her instead of bringing her to our bed!) This cute little thing is getting potty trained this week! She has been doing so good! I am so proud of her! I know it will be different with each child, but I thought potty training was going to be more difficult! Finally, something I'm good at as a mom!! Here's the famous Princess Potty. It makes noises, but sometimes it makes noises on its own. Evie thinks that's kind of funny.

a new back door!

We have really enjoyed our house, but one feature that has bothered us is that there is no back door. There is a front door and a side door, but nothing where we can privately go in and out. I think every home needs a back door. So, this weekend, Justin and his Dad put one in! He rented the saw to cut the brick from Home Depot and off he went. Justin did such an amazing job and he couldn't have done it without the amazing help from Don. Thank you so much Don for being willing to help! The door is in, I just haven't taken a picture of it, and so I will post that when I take a picture later.
Here's looking out from the new doorway:

New Spring/Summer wreath

I saw a darling post and remembered that I had a blank frame lying around. So, I decided to copy. It looks so cute on my front door. I added vinyl to mine (of course!).
WELCOME SPRING!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day to a wonderful mother and Mother in law! We love you so much and appreciate the love and joy that you show to us! We hope you have a wonderful day!

My sister-in-law Brenda graduated from the UofU today! we had a little celebration for her and I made these letters for her to display. (you can't really tell, but the H is sparkly paper & the T is kind of bumpy paper -- so cute!) Go Utes! & way to go Brenda!
