wooden flag

I made this wood flag yesterday. I love how it stacks with the blocks of wood! It's summertime. I also sell this (or one like it) for $10.

Canning House Party

Evie and me checking out the jars boiling in the water. "hot, hot hot!" she said!
We did another house party. This time is was for Ball canning things. We made mint jelly and it finally set up, so I can wait to try it! It was a fun night.

We had a guessing game for the night, and the winner won "canned" goods.

Stirring the jelly

watching them process in the water...almost done!

YW graduation gift

Shelly came up with a cute grad gift for our 2 young women leaving us! It is a bowl full of popcorn and treats; enough for a party! It is for their first movie night as a college student. They turned out fun!

wreath made with book pages

This is the wreath I made today. I made another with green paper flowers & ribbon too, but I had already taken this picture. It is made out of book pages cut into strips and then the fan flowers with buttons on them. I pulled a stick from the yard and wasn't too sure about it! What do you think?

Memorial day 2010

We went fishing to Strawberry yesterday. Evie actually did pretty good until about 2 hours after her naptime. She was the only one who caught a fish the entire day!! Well, with grandpa & dad's help, of course. She reeled in the fish and then just stared at it!
What a doll!
My two loves: Aren't they both adorable!!!??!
She loved to reel in the line.

Evelyn cleaning!

Evelyn loves to play in the car by herself. Whenever I go to take her out of her seat, she says: Bye mom (not bye for her, but bye for me to leave!). Anyway, since she wanted to play in there a little longer, I decided to clean out the car. So, I got all the trash out, vacumed, and then proceeded to wash the dashboard. She grabbed a wiper, and for the next few minutes (like 10) she washed the dashboard just like me! I was done and gone while she was still cleaning away! Ah, a girl after my own heart!
